The University of International Business and Economics is one of the key universities directly under the Ministry of Education and among the first group of universities included in the “211 Project”，a government program aimed at turning about 100 Chinese universities into exceptionally high quality academic institutions in the new century. So far, UIBE is also the first well-known multidisciplinary university in the field of International Business and Economics，and it is reputed as “the Harvard in China” and “the Cradle of CEOs”. By the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was put on the list of pilot universities that carry out modern distance education. Students who have obtained the necessary credits within the prescribed time will be issued a graduate certificate, which is recognized by the State and registered electronically.

I．Programs and Degrees

Totally, we offer programs in 12 disciplines of study: International Trade, Finance, Law, Business English, Accounting, Business Management, Public Administration，Insurance, Information Management and Systems (computer application specialty), and Public Administration (customs administration specialty), Logistics Management, Electronic Commerce, covering the associate degree and bachelor's degree programs for high school graduates and bachelor's degree programs for associate degree holders.

II．Admission Requirements (Distance education based on the Internet is a part-time education for the broad adult employees.)

1、Associate degree for senior high school graduates:
Reaching the age of 18;
Holding the graduation certificate from senior high school，technical secondary school or vocational-technical school;
No restriction on disciplines studied previously.
2、Bachelor's degree for associate degree holders:
Reaching the age of 18；
Holding the associate degree certificate or above；
No restriction on disciplines studied previously.

Note：Please bring your original certificate and copy，original I.D.Card and copy，two recent one-inch full-faced blue background photographs, two 2-inch passport photos(light blue background, dark clothes, size:48×33mm,150×210) and the expense for test management and training（no more than 200 Yuan）.

V．Admission Methods

1、Admission to our school is competitive and is based on the Distance Education Entrance Exam Results. The exam is organized by EUIBE for those eligible to apply. You can know the result on our website or mobile phone web.
2、Students must complete the registration，enrollment procedure and pay tuitions，etc. on the strength of Admission Letter or Online-Notice at the corresponding center in the given time. Those who are one month overdue will be disqualified.

VI．Certificate and Degree

Students who have obtained the necessary credits within the prescribed time (associate degree candidates also need to write a practice report, and bachelor’s degree candidates also need to pass national exams for a number of selected courses and meet the graduation dissertation requirements) will be issued a graduate certificate from the University of International Business and Economics, with the annotation of “Distance Education”, which is recognized by the State. Those who meet all the requirements for a degree will be issued a degree certificate. After admission，your residential registration will not be transferred to Beijing，and the university is not responsible for assigning jobs.

VII．School System and Credits

80+4（80 for the courses and 4 for the practice report or graduation dissertation） credits for the associate degree programs for high school graduates and the same for bachelor's degree programs for associate degree holders. The standard schooling period is 3 years，and the flexible schooling is 2.5 - 5 years.

VIII．Teaching Modes and Learning Characters

To suit the needs of learners coming from different economic status，of different study circumstances，we offer two modes of teaching，both of which are for part-time study.
（一）Type A：Network Intensive (on-line learning, on-line questions and answers, independent study aided by CDs, study guide materials, on-line exercises, on-line coaching, centralized exams)，selecting courses on-line，flexible schooling，the combination of the performance in class（30﹪）and final exam scores（70﹪）.
Learning Characters：Overcoming the barriers of time and distance to the maximum，realizing personalized learning most independently and enjoying it.
（二）Type B：Guidance Intensive （on-line learning, on-line questions and answers, independent study aided by CDs, study guide materials, on-line exercises, on-line coaching, centralized exams, an appropriate amount of face-to-face teaching）, selecting courses on-line，flexible schooling，combination of the performance in class（30﹪）+ tutoring results（30﹪）+ final exam scores（40﹪）.
Learning Characters：Providing both independent study which surmounts the barriers of time and space and face-to-face teaching on some required courses in order to overcome the learning difficulties，experiencing the harmony between the modern approaches and traditional teaching.

In the first year，students shall pay the tuition for 40 credits. In the second year，they shall pay tuition for 40+4 Credits，of which 4 credits are for graduation dissertation or practice report，which is 100 yuan per credit.）and the expenditure of teaching materials（320 yuan/year，received by the UIBE Press）.They can either pay at the corresponding centers across the country or pay on-line.
